The Central government has notified the appointment of Justice Sheel Nagu as Acting Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Following the retirement of Chief Justice Ravi Malimath on May 24, Justice Nagu will assume the responsibilities of Acting Chief Justice.

Justice Nagu enrolled as an advocate on October 5, 1987. He practiced civil and constitutional law at the High Court of Madhya Pradesh in Jabalpur.

On May 27, 2011, he was designated as an additional judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, and he attained the status of a permanent judge on May 23, 2013.
