TLA Network was informed that Justice Sanjay Karol, a Supreme Court judge, made a notable visit to the HP High Court Bar Association office yesterday. Daleep Singh Kaith, President of the Bar Association, warmly welcomed Justice Karol, acknowledging his significant contributions to the state.
During his visit, Justice Karol engaged with members of the bar, imparting valuable advice to young lawyers on the importance of diligence. Advocate General Anup Kumar Rattan, along with Lovneesh Kanwar, Chairman of the Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh, and several senior advocates and Bar Association members, attended the event.
Justice Karol belongs to Garli village in Dehra Gopipur tehsil of Kangra district. He earned his law degree from Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, and began his career as an advocate in 1986.
Justice Karol was elevated as a Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court on March 8, 2007 and later discharged his duties as Acting Chief Justice of the same High Court from April 25, 2017 to May 10, 2018.
Justice Karol served the Himachal Pradesh High Court for a period of eleven and a half years.6 He was also the patron-in-chief of Himachal Pradesh Legal Services Authority and the Chancellor of the Himachal Pradesh National Law University.
