Justice Ajay Rastogi says time management must to reduce pendency

Supreme Court Judge, Justice Ajay Rastogi was in Jaipur today to attend a Program organized by Sanganer Bar Association on the silver jubilee celebration of the establishment of Sanganer Court. The function was also attended by the Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Sh. Manindra Mohan Srivastav, Justice Sh. Sudesh Bansal, Justice Sh. Anoop Dhandh, and Justice Sh. Uma Shankar Vyas.

Justice Rastogi while addressing the function said that all problems of pendency can be solved through case management and time management. 

While speaking on the subject of the function "PResent Legal System: Challenges and Their Solutions" justice Rastogi said when he became an advocate in 1982, there was a discussion about pendency and even after forty years when he is a judge in the Supreme Court, the situation is the same and discussion is held on pendency. Justice Rastogi also said that the concern should be of Justice and not of disposal of the cases.

While addressing, Acting CJ of Rajasthan High Court said that 60% of the cases pending before the court are simple in nature, which could be resolved through negotiations and conciliations.

Justice Rastogi who hails from Rajasthan, had been an advocate in Rajasthan High Court and also a Judge in Rajasthan High Court and then served as Chief Justice of Tripura High Court, till he was elevated as a Judge in the Supreme Court of India on 02.11.2018. Justice Rastogi had also been President of the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association, Jaipur in 1999-2000
