Jharkhand HC Sets hearing on Dhirendra Shastri's Program Denied Permission by Deputy Commissioner

The Jharkhand High Court, presided over by Justice Gautam Kumar Choudhary, conducted a hearing on a petition filed against the refusal to grant permission for the proposed program of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri (Bageshwar Baba) in Palamu.

At the hearing, the petitioner requested an extension to amend the petition, which was granted by the court. As a result, the hearing for the case has been rescheduled for December 7.

The Hanumant Katha Organizing Committee has lodged a petition related to this matter.

During the hearing, the court was told on behalf of the applicant that the Deputy Commissioner of Palamu had not given permission for the program of Pandit Dhirendra Shastri citing several reasons. The court was told that the program of Baba Bageshwar Dham government is proposed in Rajwadih from 10 to 12 December.

The applicant had formally requested permission from the Palamu district administration for organizing this program. A letter was sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Palamu to inform them about the proposed event.

The order for permission issued by Sadar SDO regarding the arrival of Dhirendra Shastri in Palamu has been canceled by Palamu Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan.

The Deputy Commissioner had asked the organizers to obtain no objection certificate from the Disaster and Meteorological Department. Along with this, the SDO has been instructed to form a three member team for organizing the event on the banks of the river.

The Deputy Commissioner says that the place where the event is being held is the bank of the river. This will affect the eco system. The organizers have also been asked to obtain a no-objection certificate from the Pollution Control Board.
