On Monday, a court in Goa granted a five-day extension to the police custody of Suchana Seth, the CEO of a startup who is under investigation for the alleged murder of her four-year-old son.

Following the expiration of her initial six-day remand, Seth was presented before the Goa Children's Court. The Calangute Police requested an extension of her custody, asserting that the investigation has not yet concluded.

Seth, aged 39, was apprehended in Chitradurga, Karnataka, on January 8 while traveling in a taxi with her deceased son's body concealed in a bag. Subsequently, a court in Mapusa town granted her six days of police custody.

She stands accused of committing the crime of killing her child in a service apartment located in Candolim, Goa.

As of Monday, a senior police officer informed that the accused, Suchana Seth, is not cooperating with the investigators in the case.

The senior police officer stated, "We requested an extension of her custody to allow for additional time for questioning. Various formalities, including obtaining her DNA sample, also need to be conducted."

He further mentioned that the recording of the statement by Seth's husband, Venkat Raman, has been completed.
