Live streaming of court proceedings was done for the first time in Delhi High Court. On the lines of the Supreme Court, live-streaming of the court proceedings on the bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula took place on Wednesday at 10.30 am. Common citizens will also be able to watch the court proceedings through live-streaming.
Under the order issued by the Delhi High Court administration on October 9, information was given about live-streaming of the court process under the instructions of the High Court. Along with the main bench, live streaming of court proceedings will soon be started in Court No. 39 also.
The live-streaming content will be for informational purposes only and the data will not constitute an official record of the court proceedings. No person, including print or electronic media, other than the official will be allowed to record or share the live-streaming.
Hearing of all the cases in all the courts of Delhi High Court is done through video conferencing. Apart from this, all types of answers, responses and documents through e-court are done through online e-filing system only.
