Engineer Rashid Seeks Interim Bail in Terror-Funding Case to Attend Parliament

Today, Jammu and Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid approached a Delhi court, requesting interim bail in a terror-funding case to allow him to attend the ongoing Parliament session.

Rashid, who appeared virtually from Tihar Jail, urged Principal District and Sessions Judge Vimal Kumar Yadav to grant him bail, stating, "I have been elected by my people and was not permitted to attend the previous session. With folded hands, I request that I be granted interim bail."

The court, after hearing Rashid's plea, directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to submit a response by November 27.

During the proceedings, both Rashid's counsel and the NIA agreed to have the case remain in the current court rather than being transferred to another.

The next day of hearing is on November 27.
