Eleven New Judges Sworn in as Permanent Members of Bombay High Court in Virtual Ceremony

Today, eleven additional judges were sworn in as permanent judges of the Bombay High Court in the Central Court Hall of the High Court building.

The swearing in ceremony was virtual for judges presiding over High Court benches in Goa, Nagpur, and Aurangabad.

Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya personally administered the oath to the additional judges who were physically present in Mumbai. Simultaneously, the most senior judges at the respective benches conducted the oath-taking ceremony for additional judges present in their jurisdictions.

Justices Kishore Chandrakant Sant, Kamal Khata, Sharmila Deshmukh, Sandeep Marne, Gauri Godse, Rajesh Shantaram Patil, and Arif Doctor took their oaths at the Principal Seat in Bombay. Justice Valmiki SA Menezes was sworn in at the Goa Bench, Justice Arun Pedneker at the Aurangabad Bench, and Justices Urmila Sachin Joshi-Phalke and Bharat Pandurang Deshpande at the Nagpur Bench.
