DSLSA to Organize National Lok Adalat on March 8

The Delhi State Legal Services Authority, in collaboration with the Delhi Traffic Police, will conduct a National Lok Adalat on March 8, 2025, to facilitate the settlement of compoundable traffic challans and notices for all categories of vehicles, including commercial ones.

The Lok Adalat will be held across multiple court complexes in Delhi, including Dwarka, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Rohini, Rouse Avenue, Saket, and Tis Hazari.

Eligible Challans: Only compoundable traffic challans issued on or before November 30, 2024, will be considered. Non-compoundable offenses, paid notices, disposed challans, and cases transferred to other courts will not be included.

Total Cases to be Settled: Each Lok Adalat bench will handle up to 1,000 challans, with a total of 1.8 lakh notices expected to be resolved across 180 benches on the day of the event.

Challan Limits:

  • Private Vehicles: Maximum 5 notices or 2 challans per vehicle.
  • Commercial Vehicles: Maximum 2 notices or challans per vehicle.

Participation Process:

  • Vehicle owners must download and print their challans from the Delhi Traffic Police website: https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat.
  • The link will be active from March 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
  • A maximum of 60,000 challans can be downloaded per day until the total 1.8 lakh limit is reached.
  • No printing facility will be available at the court complexes.

Citizens are encouraged to avail themselves of this opportunity to resolve their pending traffic violations and avoid further legal complications.
