Demonetization Case: Central Government to seek more time to file documents before Supreme Court

The Central Government would seek time from the Constitution Bench in the demonization case. The Case is listed tomorrow before the Constitution Bench headed by Justice S. Abdul Nazeer. The Attorney General of India S. Venkataramani mentioned the case before the division bench of Justice S. Abdul Nazeer and Justice Ramasubraminan last week and the bench directed the Government to circulate a letter for adjournment.

The demonetization case was listed last month on 12.10.2022 before the constitution bench comprising of JUSTICE S. ABDUL NAZEER, JUSTICE B.R. GAVAI, JUSTICE A.S. BOPANNA, JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN, JUSTICE B.V. NAGARATHNA when Senior Advocate P. Chidamabaram and Shyam Diwan had argued the case and the Central Government had sought time to argue the case. The Bench had given time to the Government to file a comprehensive affidavit.
