Recently, the Delhi High Court responded to a petition filed by Sony under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking interim measures to protect the outstanding amount owed to it by various entities of MX Media & Entertainment Pte Ltd.
The court instructed MX Media to reserve Rs 31.25 crore from any proceeds generated by the sale of its assets, ensuring that Sony's dues are safeguarded. Additionally, it mandated that Sony be informed through its legal representatives upon the conclusion of any asset sale transaction.
MX Media & Entertainment Pte Ltd., a Singaporean company currently undergoing liquidation proceedings, has had its winding-up temporarily halted by the Singapore High Court until June 20, 2024, based on an application submitted by related entities seeking to annul the winding-up order.
Sony, represented by Gaurav Pachnanda, senior advocate, alongside a legal team from Karanjawala & Co, including Ruby Singh Ahuja, Vishal Gehrana, Ishan Gaur, Simranjeet, and Megha Dugar, brought forth the petition.
