On Wednesday, a Delhi court rejected RAU’s IAS Study Circle’s petition seeking permission to access the premises of its Old Rajender Nagar building, where three UPSC civil services aspirants tragically drowned in July due to flooding.
“Application dismissed,” Chief judicial magistrate Nishant Garg said.
The judge had reserved the order following the arguments presented by the advocates for both the applicant and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Three UPSC civil services aspirants tragically lost their lives in the basement of the building due to flooding on July 27, leading to the building being sealed. The applicant sought relief, arguing that access to the premises was necessary for the smooth operation of their classes.
