Naresh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Delhi, has lodged an appeal with the Uttarakhand High Court challenging the ruling issued by the Almora Court.
Recently, the Almora Court issued an order directing the registration of an FIR against two senior officials of the Delhi Government. Following the court's directive, an FIR was filed against Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Vigilance Department officer Rajshekhar.
Both Naresh Kumar and Rajshekhar face charges of conspiracy and violation of the SC/ST Act, as an FIR has been registered against them. They are accused of tampering with evidence from an NGO's office, which had been consistently lodging corruption complaints against the two officials.
An FIR has been filed against both officials under sections 392, 447, 120b, 504, and 506 of the SC/ST Act.
