CJI Sanjiv Khanna, Collegium Designate Former Judges as Senior Advocates

At a full court meeting held on January 22, Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, along with Supreme Court judges, including members of the Collegium—Justices B.R. Gavai, Surya Kant, Hrishikesh Roy, and Abhay S. Oka—announced the designation of several former Chief Justices and Judges of High Courts as Senior Advocates.

The designations take effect from January 22.

1. Arvind Singh Sangwan, former Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad

2. C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy, former Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

3. Goutam Bhaduri, former Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh

4. S. Vaidyanathan, former Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya
