On Monday, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud disclosed the volume of cases handled by the Supreme Court's vacation benches during this year's summer break.
The benches were active from May 20 to July 7.
Chief Justice DY Chandrachud noted that during this period, 21 benches of the Supreme Court conducted proceedings. Out of 4,000 cases listed, 1,160 were resolved.
