The Central Government has notified the names of (i) Mr Justice N Koteswar Singh and (ii) Mr Justice R Mahadevan for the appointment of judges of the Supreme Court of India.

The Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud had recommended the name of 2 judges to the Supreme Court last week on 11th July.

It is interesting that Justice N Koteswar Singh would be the first judge to be appointed as the Supreme court Judge from Manipur.
