The Central Government has announced the appointment of Justice D. Krishnakumar, a Judge of the Madras High Court, as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur.

This appointment follows the retirement of the current Chief Justice, Justice Siddharth Mridul, who is set to resign on November 21, 2024.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice D. Krishnakumar as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur on November 18, 2024.
