Centre Notifies Appointment of Four Judicial Officers, Including Two Women, as Telangana HC Judges

The Central government has notified the appointment of four judicial officers, including two women, as judges of the Telangana High Court.

The newly appointed judges are:

  • Renuka Yara
  • Narsing Rao Nandikonda
  • Tirumala Devi Eada @ Thirupathamma K
  • Madhusudhan Rao Bobbili Ramaiah

Union Minister of State for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal shared the announcement on Wednesday, stating, “In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following as Additional Judges of High Courts.”

The appointments follow the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium, which convened on January 11.

The Telangana High Court, with a sanctioned strength of 42 judges, is currently functioning with 26 judges. The new appointments are expected to bolster the court's judicial capacity.
