The Central Government has confirmed the appointment of Chief Justices of 6 High Courts. The Supreme Court Collegium had approved the names of these judges to be elevated as the Chief Justices of different High Courts.
The Rajasthan high Court appears at the centre stage in these appointments. Two judges of the High Court have been elevated as the Chief Justice of High Court of Allahabad and Gauhati respectively and Justice MM Srivastava presently Acting Chief Justice has been appointed as the Chief Justice.
