Central Government Appoints Six ASGs for Supreme Court Representation

On Monday, the Central government announced the appointment of six Senior Advocates as Additional Solicitors General (ASGs) to represent its interests before the Supreme Court.

The six Senior Advocates are:

- S Dwarakanath;

- Archana Pathak Dave;

- Satya Darshi Sanjay;

- Brijender Chahar;

- Raghavendra P Shankar; and

- Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare (Raja Thakare).

Senior Advocate Satya Darshi Sanjay, who has previously held the position of Additional Solicitor General before the Patna High Court, has been appointed to a new role. This appointment was announced in a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.

All appointments will be for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
