Calcutta HC introduced Wi-Fi Facilities For Advocates In All Bar Rooms On HC Premises

At the Calcutta High Court, Wi-Fi facilities have been inaugurated for advocates within all bar rooms on the premises.

In Bar Room No. 2, Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam presided over the inauguration ceremony, accompanied by several members of the bar at the Calcutta High Court.

Seeking to ensure seamless operations for its members, the Calcutta High Court Bar had formally requested the State government to extend Wi-Fi facilities to all bar rooms.

The State government graciously honored the request and implemented Wi-Fi provisions in all bar rooms at no cost, investing a total of Rs 1 crore in the project. Chief Justice Sivagnanam expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the state for this invaluable provision, extending his best wishes to the advocates to fully utilize these facilities.

Biswabrata Basu Mallick, the Secretary of the Bar Association, extended gratitude to the state government, specifically acknowledging the Chief Minister and Law Minister for their successful efforts in providing these essential amenities for the bar members.
