Advocate K Nirmal Kotwal Elected President of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu

Advocate K. Nirmal Kotwal has been elected as the President of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHBAJ), following the Executive Committee elections held on December 7.

Advocate K. Nirmal Kotwal secured 1,031 votes, defeating his closest competitor, Abhinav Sharma, who garnered 446 votes. The race for the presidency also included advocates Rohit Sharma, Pawan Kundal, and Bhavishya Sudan.

The number of votes secured by each candidate are as follows:

K Nirmal Kotwal - 1031

Abhinav Sharma - 446

Rohit Sharma - 318

Pawan K Kundal - 61

Bhavishya Sudan - 38

Advocate Baldev Singh was elected Vice President.

Kotwal secured 990 votes, defeating his closest rival, Deepika Mahajan, who received 548 votes.

Advocate Pardeep Majotra was elected as the General Secretary, while Advocate Anshu Mahajan assumed the role of Joint Secretary. Advocate Rahul Aggarwal emerged as the new Treasurer, securing 1,170 votes—the highest tally among all candidates in the JKHBAJ election.
