1st Collegium Meeting of CJI Chandrachud: Judges transferred to Rajasthan and Patna High Court

In the first Collegium meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of India Dr. DY Chandrachud, the Supreme Court proposed names of judges for transfer. The recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium is as under:-

 

  1. Justice T. Raja from Madras High Court to Rajasthan High Court
  2. Justice Nikhil S. Kariel from Gujarat High Court to Patna High Court
  3. Justice A Abhishek Reddy from Telangana High Court to Patna High Court

Justice Nikhil S. Kariel was elected as Judge of the Gujarat High Court on 04.11.2020. Justice Reddy who has been transferred to Patna High Court was elevated as Judge of Telangana High Court on 26.08.2019.

Justice T. Raja is presently serving as Acting Chief Justice of Madras high court and he has been transferred to Rajasthan high court. Justice Raja was elevated as Judge of the Madras High Court in March 2009. In September of this year, Justice Raja was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice
