Friday was the last working day of Justice Krishna Murari. A farewell ceremony was organized by Supreme Court Bar Association for him on 8th July 2023. There were emotional moments during the ceremony, and sometimes light moments. It was full of Urdu poetry. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud bid farewell to his Allahabad High Court colleague Justice Krishna Murari as a Supreme Court judge.

There was a ceremonial bench also in the Supreme Court since it was the last day of Justice Krishna Murari. On this occasion, CJI DY Chandrachud said how Justice Murari always remained calm and composed. He never lost his temper during the hearing of the case. He also said that Justice Murari's language also has a Kanpuri touch.

During this, CJI Chandrachud read a poem by Bashir Badr - "मुसाफ़िर हैं हम भी, मुसाफ़िर हो तुम भी. किसी मोड़ पर फिर मुलाक़ात होगी". The CJI finished his talk by reading another sher - "आपके साथ कुछ लम्हे कई यादें बतौर इनाम मिले, एक सफर पर निकले और तजुर्बे तमाम मिले".

After this, Justice Krishna Murari started speaking. Justice Murari said, "I am fortunate to have had DY Chandrachud as my Chief Justice twice, once in Allahabad and now here in the Supreme Court. I thank him for his generosity towards me and also towards other brother-sister judges. Justice Murari revealed he asked his judicial clerks for help with iPads and then kept asking everyone until he learned. He said, "I thank the CJI for giving me this opportunity and working with technology, without which these days It's hard to work".

Justice Murari read the lion, "क़दम उठे भी नहीं और सफ़र तमाम हुआ. ग़ज़ब है राह का इतना भी मुख़्तसर होना" He said that this is an emotional and difficult moment for him.  thanking to everyone, he read the poetry in the end – “दर-ओ-दीवार पे हसरत से नज़र करते हैं, ख़ुश रहो अहल-ए-वतन हम तो सफ़र करते हैं”.
